South Dublin County Council manages over 1,750 hectares of parkland and public open spaces, including an extensive tree resource of approximately 75,000 street trees and over 125,000 trees within parks and open spaces. These valuable assets contribute significantly to biodiversity, climate resilience, environmental quality and community wellbeing across the county. The Executive Tree Officer is a key leadership and specialist role within the Public Realm Section, responsible for the strategic management, protection and enhancement of the Council's tree stock.
