The gardens of Salterbridge House are part of the wonderful Waterford Garden Trail. Located near Cappoquin, the Victorian country house’s grounds are filled with camellias, magnolias, rhododendrons and many other woodland shrubs.

There are many fine trees, including most notably four splendid Irish yews, a cork oak, an Indian horse chestnut and a single leaved ash. The garden is at its best in the spring.

Salterbridge House was built over about 100 years from 1750. The exterior is in the regency picturesque style whilst the interior shows its early Victorian origin. The garden of some 5 acres has some interesting trees including one of the largest cork oaks in Ireland, a fine single leaved ash and many woodland shrubs. It is perhaps at its best in the spring when most of the rhododendrons, magnolias and camellias are in flower.
