Job Description

Senior Horticulturist We are seeking to recruit a Senior Horticulturist / Garden Centre Manager (4+ years experience) for our client based in Co. Cork. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced horticulturist to step into an already well established and successful business and work to maintain the already very high standards and add value to the role. The Role: This role is split between two main areas, running the Garden Centre and top-class Customer Services. Being able to maintain both areas of business importance, is critical and vital for the success of the role and for you to thrive in this environment. You will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure that the Garden Centre will be a successful venture and be a delight for customers to shop in. Garden Centre: · Show that performance matters by maximising the sales potential. · Maintain control of all stock to ensure a fresh offering to the customer. · Ensure that all garden centre displays are immaculate and appealing to the customer. · Assist the Store Manager to maintain high standards in the garden centre and branch. Top Class Customer Service: · Be the customers’ champion by providing top quality, fast, efficient service. · Keen interest in and understanding of our product range and services. · Ensure that health & safety requirements are always met. · Maintain good housekeeping of all relevant areas. Read on… Role Requirements: · A Qualification in Horticulture or relevant experience. · Knowledge and interest in horticulture and the Retail Garden industry. · Ability to multitask and to consistently deliver high standard quality work. · Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise. · Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to lead a small team of horticulturists.
