Senior gardener
Our client is an eighteen-century demesne of 300 acres set under the Wicklow mountains, with over 27 acres includes large gardens, walled garden, arboretum, and pleasure grounds. The garden is open to the public 60 days a year. They are seeking an experienced gardener to join the team.
What you'll do:
We are currently seeking an experienced senior gardener like you to help us maintain our beautiful grounds and gardens with herbaceous borders, rose garden, wildflower meadow and indoor display.
What you'll need:
· You must have a proven track record, to include experience in the maintenance of rose gardens, perennial borders, and glasshouse/indoor plants
· Call on a broad knowledge of plants as you will be working with an ever-evolving garden.
· Propagation and nursery stock knowledge in order for you to help grow our garden.
· Tractor and Loader Certificate or equivalent experience
· Must have good organisation skills
· Full driving licence required
Qualifications:
· You should have a relevant horticultural qualification to include, either QQI Level 5 Certificate in Horticulture/ RHS Level 2 or 3, equivalent or proven experience.
· PA1 and PA6 Spraying Certificates.
Salary:
Salary will be based on experience (€40,000 +)
