An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Craft Gardener to join the team on a beautiful 250-acre private estate and stud farm located in the idyllic village of Grangecon, West Wicklow.
At the heart of the estate is a charming Tudor-style residence, nestled in a peaceful glen on the eastern edge of the village. Surrounded by rolling parkland, ancient trees, and views of the Wicklow Mountains to the east and Kildare’s equestrian heartlands to the west, the estate offers a truly inspiring working environment.
The gardens include a one-acre walled garden with both formal and informal plantings, a productive area with polytunnels and a glasshouse for growing fruit, vegetables, and flowers, as well as ornamental beds, ponds, lakes, woodlands, and an evolving orchard. The estate owner has a strong interest in biodiversity, rewilding, and the planting of native species, and the gardens are continually developing.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance of flowerbeds, ornamental borders, and planted areas
Pruning, weeding, propagation, and seasonal planting
Care and cultivation of fruits, vegetables, and flowers
Support in ongoing rewilding and woodland planting projects
Participation in new and exciting horticultural developments planned

Grangecon Demense is a 250 acre private estate and stud farm situated in the idyllic village of Grangecon in West Wicklow.
