Job Description

An experienced and qualified Gardener for their 18th-century demesne of 300 acres set under the Wicklow mountains, with over 27 acres including walled gardens, an arboretum, and pleasure grounds (which are overseen annually by Mr Tom Stuart Smith). The garden is open to the public 60 days a year. The varied and interesting role offers an enthusiastic and motivated individual the opportunity to work in beautiful surroundings in a small, supportive team.

Requirements:

  • You must have a proven experience in the maintenance of rose gardens, perennial borders, and glasshouse/indoor plants.
  • Have a good knowledge of the cultivation of plants
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, embracing a high level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a small team, PA1 and PA6 Spraying Certificates an advantage
  • Full driving license required
  • Medical required prior to commencing
