Job Description

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a hardworking and reliable Gardener for a private residence to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards across the gardens and grounds, ensuring outdoor areas are kept tidy, healthy, and well presented. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Head Gardener. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Formal Lawn maintenance, strimming, and hedge trimming
  • Implementation of seasonal planting plans
  • Care and maintenance of wildlife-friendly areas
  • Weeding, planting, and general garden maintenance
  • Seasonal pruning and upkeep of plants and shrubs
  • Watering, feeding, and monitoring plant health
  • Use and maintenance of gardening tools and equipment
  • Keeping all outdoor areas clean, safe, and presentable

Requirements

  • Relevant Horticultural qualification or extensive garden maintenance experience essential
  • Excellent timekeeping and workload management
  • Ability to operate garden machinery (mowers, strimmers, polesaws, etc.)
  • Good knowledge of plants and gardening techniques (desirable)
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full driving licence
